Our National Guard and Reserve men and women have served our country with honor in the Global War on Terror in Afghanistan and Iraq.
A significant number of these citizens have returned from their service with hidden scars which they must address without the benefits of the services and support provided to the Active component members on a military installation. These Veterans often must come to grips with the effects of such conditions as depression, anxiety, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), traumatic brain injury (TBI), substance abuse, marital problems, unemployment, underemployment, homelessness, incarceration, and sometimes, even suicide. CSSP is building a state-by-state Comprehensive Behavioral Health Network of civilian providers to meet the behavioral health concerns of these Veterans and their families.
